Theo Davis Printing, along with the entire Consolidated Graphics family, are dedicated to operating our businesses in an environmentally sustainable and responsible manner.
We have invested significant financial and human resources to reduce our carbon footprint by utilizing waste reduction, energy and materials conservation and optimizing our production processes. We are working to promote renewable energy sources through the purchase of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs).
Low VOC Inks
Theo Davis Printing and Consolidated Graphics are committed to using low VOC inks derived from vegetable oils. VOCs, or Volatile Organic Compounds, evaporate into the atmosphere to create smog and other air pollution problems for our community. While printing has traditionally been a high-VOC process, we are working to reduce a leading cause of air pollution in the United States.
Recycling
Beyond energy-efficient projects, our sustainable practices include recycling—almost 66,700 tons of paper was recycled in the 2008 fiscal year, avoiding nearly 220,000 cubic yards of landfill space as a result. We recycle all waste paper from production operations, aluminum press plates and wash-up solutions.
FSC Certified
The Forest Stewardship Council is a non-profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world's forests. Consolidated Graphics is proud to be globally FSC certified in each of our 70+ locations.
